How to create a PST files in MS Outlook mailbox?



Here I am discussing about how to creating/Adding PST files …..

Microsoft Outlook email client has explored their unity. It provides you two editions:

  1. ANSI PST Files (97 to 2002)
  2. Unicode PST files (2003 to 2013)

Sometimes back you were working on the (97 to 2002) MS Outlook email files and now you have configured latest versions of Outlook and want to execute all your old, backup data files from cd/hard disc/ pen drive etc in current PST mailbox then follow the steps below.......

Method 1. For Creating PST files in Outlook 2007!!

  •  File menu>> New>> Outlook Data File.
  •  There is two option for creating email files
  •   Office Outlook Personal folder file (.pst) 
  •   Outlook 97- 2002 personal folder files (.pst)
  • Select one of them then >> click on “OK” button.
  • Give the name by according to your memorize.
  • Choose desire location>>ok
  • Give the password for security purpose. OR leave (its up to you)>> OK
  • Now you can drag any PST files in this folder.
  • For dragging multiple PST files Press CTRL button.
  • Finish.

Method 2:

  •  Click on File menu>> Outlook data managements.
  • A box will appear on your screen.
  • Choose Data files>> “ADD…”
  • Choose ANSI/ Unicode edition.
  • Give the name by according to your memorize.
  • Choose desire location>>ok
  • Give the password for security purpose. OR leave (its up to you)>> OK
  • Now you can drag any PST files in this folder.
  •  For dragging multiple PST files Press CTRL button.
  • Finish.
